The company Maître frères was founded in 1962 by brothers Raymond and Adrien Maître. Its main line of business was making stamps for watch cases. The company was run from the home of one of the brothers in Undervelier during the early years. Towards the end of the 1970s – with the emergence of Swatch – the company began focusing on plastic injection, which remains its core business. Today, the company is based in Glovelier in the Swiss Jura region and has a 20-strong workforce.
